The heat is this guy's main "issue", yes nVMEs run warmer, esp with what PS wants to do with it in this case. Those controllers will be roughly 5C warmer, but I don't see it as a real issue. A warmer controller doesn't mean it will output more "heat", it is just a surface area limiting thermal issue, not a higher wattage issue. Yes the unit will boost when needed and run warmer, that is where the wattage=warmer temps comes into play. My concern is with the lack of GPU power relative to the Series X.
I guess he is concerned about throttling? But there is no real proof of that yet.

I agree, I don't necessarily like him, but he does have industry sources I'd trust over this random guy. Who has a history of posting stupid shite like this:

won't get any argument out of me. i just thought it was interesting. honestly, i'm kinda surprised Microsoft is even doing another console but it sounds like they're going balls to the wall with it

I finished Witcher 3 (Game Pass free version without the expansions), have worked on Cuphead with my daughter some, and also bought Jedi Fallen Order from Game Stop while they were refusing to close and completed that (trying to wrap up some collectibles now). Am going to work on some backlog next: AC Odyssey, FF15, last episode of Life is Strange season 2

I bought skyrim from the ps store, about 6 hours into my first play. Not really sure why I never played before but figured now was the perfect time.
I downloaded a few ps4 mods but are there any absolute must haves?

I got an order in for a switch, by the grace of God, that looks like it will get here Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll be Animal Crossing it up at that point.

If it wasn't for mods on PC, I probably wouldn't play Bethesda games.
