It feels like CoD has been out of ideas for a decade. Basically "rebooting" Modern Warfare bought them some time, but here we are going back to the "fighting robots in the near future" well that nearly killed the franchise.
CoD devs could take a shite in a box, and it'd sell millions of copies.
Maybe the tides are finally starting to turn.

Just tried to play a few matches on Xbox but performance was so bad it was a slide show. All other games playing fine. Is this a one off or has the whole beta been bad?

Genuinely curious as to what you think the solution might be. You can't just stay in WW2 times for forever.

from a single player experience, BLOPs 1 took place during Vietnam, but nothing about the single player was based on real events from what i recall.
they might've tried to link the JFK assassination to some of the fictional story telling they were trying to do, but that's about it.
