The Destiny team was 1K+. If you don't think every large dev team has this demographic, you're living in a bubble.
I didn't play the game much the last few years, but the constant complaints about it were repetitive content and harsh grinds. I know it's easier for you to simply blame woke and DEI, but bad content is bad content.

both of these things can be true. Especially in Bungie's case where they leaned into the social stuff as hard as they did.

Having a handful of women or gays on the staff quietly doing their job is not a problem.
Rounding them all up like cattle for a photo-op so you can virtue signal about their existence speaks to a cultural rot of a doomed company. Allowing them significant input on what the games should look and play like, suicide.
If you were selling AIDS medication or double sided dildos you could probably get away with this, but when your customer base is 90%+ straight males who mostly find this stuff cringe or flat out repulsive, it tells me everything I need to know about the decision making, and it's clear where the ship is headed.

Sony forced them to put all their resources in Marathon and abandon their other projects and Marathon was a financial flop increased by coming out right after Arc Raiders which did the genre better.

They're the retards who chose to invest a AAA budget on a niche genre as they let their main IP die from neglect
There wasn’t much for Sony to do once they took the operational reigns last August. Destiny 2 was dead and they did the right thing to see Marathon to the finish line in the event of miracle success. It was the turd we knew it would be. Now there's only one step left for them - shift what's left of the actual talent across SIE and shut it down

I used to be obsessed with Bungie back in the early Halo days. Really sad how they just completely yacked all over themselves and destroyed one of the best game trilogies of all time.

This shite definitely contributed to the death of a great franchise.
Information recently came out that some devs were working on a gay destiny dating game.
Somewhere along the way, destiny got hijacked by blue haired land whales and activists.
Despite the "every character is gay" shifts the overall game was still good.
Western devs have to purge these people from their studios, otherwise, western development is dead.
