You can wait. Trust me.
Such a disappointment.

Gameplay wise, it's the best one by far. Shooting is great, sliding and vaulting were great additions, but the writing is dog shite awful. I hate every character in that game.

Yeah I want it on Steam, but no way I buy it right away as the discount on Steam surely won't be better than it's highest discount ever on Epic/other storefronts like Greenmangaming.
Same issue with Metro Exodus.. it hit Steam February 15 and the Gold Edition was 40% off right away for a few days ($38), but it's been $20 or less I think elsewhere. So I will continue to wait for Metro Exodus and Borderlands 3 to be extremely cheap on Steam, not just purchasing them right when they hit Steam.

3 was screwed from the start. Handsome Jack was a great villain so it was going to be hard to top. It still seems that they shite the bed with the bad guys in 3. After watching a few vids, I lost 100% interest in playing 3.

agreed. made incremental strides in gameplay to make things smoother, but had a huge drop-off in writing. it just wasnt very witty or funny.
I'm sick of loot management games too. so tiresome

This is just silly. BL2 is easily one of the best games of its generation.

i liked 3 well enough. it was never gonna be easy to follow 2. thst game was ridiculously amazing for its time.
gonna get us a gay wedding with tentacles for a dlc though. this sounds like it has potential to be more great borderlands

Finally drops on Steam on March 13th.
Here is the problem with these delayed releases on Steam. By the time the game finally shows up on Steam, I've already moved onto other new releases and have a full schedule of gaming. Games like Metro Exodus and BL3 I would've bought and played last year as a casual fan, but I wasn't that much into them to either 1) buy on Epic or 2) buy on Steam as it released there. Definitely waiting for a sale on this one.

I cringed my way through 3 to finish. Haven't picked it up since.
It's just not the same game anymore. The magic is gone.

Couldn't wishlist fast enough. Now I wait for a huge price drop. Also, with delayed releases to Steam (in addition to Metro Exodus you mentioned; Control coming out in August), I cannot bring myself to purchase these games I've already been waiting a year to play because they've already been 60%+ off in some cases on Epic. Why would I buy it on Steam for a release 40% or less off?
I am not going to support this exclusivity practice. Why should I pay more over a year later because I want the game on Steam? I waited a year.. I can wait another to be honest.

It's literally on the Steam store page now and says March 13th.. which would put the exclusive window at 6 months, which is what it was. I think rumors were it was going to come in April, but not now.

My stance exactly. I'm not paying $59.99 for last year's games when new titles like Doom Eternal are dropping this month. I bought Exodus when it launched on Steam earlier this month because it was basically half off, but I wouldn't have paid the $39.99 regular price they were asking.

Again, my stance exactly and this was an unpopular position on this board, at least in the first half of 2019. Essentially the rule for me is = if it's not on Steam, I'm not buying it. I'm glad more companies are starting to realize this is the position of many people, which is why Star Wars Fallen Order came to Steam and we only had to wait a month for RDR2.
