You're a grown arse man who bought the game, tv, and system to play it on. If you wanna sit in a corner with one entrance and earn merit badges, who cares. If you get more than 3 kills without one of them destroying you, then they're doing something wrong.

In my early camping days, that was about right. 3 kills, map for my friends.
I've graduated to the next level now. 2 kills, on to the next camping spot. Now, if I could just stop accidentally stabbing when trying to pull the trigger.

i enjoy sneaking up on a camper but i also like turning the tables and camping on a team that has a camper.

Camping (or what most people call camping) is the smart strategy. I used to love holding down an entire area of a map, then the other team screaming about camping after the match. Made my day. People just scream camper when they lose, no matter how they got beat. Every single person camps on CoD games at some point or another. I love it when people try to admonish others for camping, when they do it themselves.
What sounds like the better strategy...staying covered and defend an area and end with a 12-5 type game, or running around constantly or into the same areas over and over and having a 14-15 type game?

That strategy is the only way I can play the game and keep being an asset to my team and remain sane at the same time.

On some maps I will camp an area and get 50+ kills with 5 or fewer deaths. I don't play with a clan so i worry only about my K/D ratio and winning the match second. I will get two or three kills in a spot and move to where I can see that spot and get 2 or 3 more when they come to get payback. I will then claymore the area and have another kill before moving back again. I like to run and gun on small maps but I don't like to die when I don't have to.

I find that I run and gun a lot on Black Ops, and that is new territory for me. And my k/d suffers because of it (and in TDM, k/d is what matters the most, since it's just a race to a specific number of kills). I am now trying to get in the groove of finding nice areas to set up in and defend. It's definitely frustrating.

Everyone does "camp" at one point or another, but....
When I see a guy in an obscure part of the map pleasuring himself in a dark corner, while never running to cap a flag, defend it, or plant/diffuse; thats the gayness I have a problem with.
Its the kid who goes 15-4 in domination with 1 capture and 0 defends = bitch tits
Deathmatch people can do what they want, its impossible for them to take over a game by squatting by themself anyway.
