Nothing like that feeling of thinking you are slowly becoming a bad arse. Moving to the next area and having the lowest level dudes kick you in the balls til your dead.

Killed that first pain in the arse hostile hunter being protected by that prick with the Gatling gun. Killed him then 1/2 a second later Mr. Gatling gun prick got me. I was so damn happy when I came back and saw the Hunters don't respawn.
I think I've covered the old town. Just need to kill the beast in the chapel to finish out this section.

Word. The boss is totally optional and you can come back to him later. That HG lamp is one of the best farming spots in the game. Just have to be careful when fighting the Snatchers

I think I'm a little overleveled. I just beat Blood Starved Beast at level 47. The snatchers can still 2 shot me.
On another note, how good is Ludwigs Holy Blade in the grand scheme of things? I just got it and thought about upgrading it as far as I can.

Every weapon is viable with the right build. You can make just about anything work. LHB was my choice for my first playthrough. It kicks arse and has an awesome move set

Ludwigs holy blade is what I run with most of the time. That and the axe, both of with I have maxed out. It's definitely worth upgrading and using

The axe is the only thing I haven't tried. I'd been using the saw cleaver and kirkhammer.

Got to learn to parry or just over level and make sure you weapon is lvl 3.
I sucked with parry but my level and weapon upgrade saved my arse with G.

I finally beat him but I had trouble with his final form. Currently stuck on the third boss. I don't seem to be doing any damage to him at all.
