I'm starting to pay more attention to shotties now. I've sold so many up to this point, I'm kind of annoyed. Certain I've gotten rid of some good guns. But my main focus is always sniper and SMG when looking through loot.

I never used a sniper on the first one. I always felt like I could just rush in and mow everyone down. This one is different. I'd much rather slowly work through an area (especially a congested one) and pick enemies off at a distance.

Same here, sic. I do not use shotguns. Hell the robot AI that I had the option to put into a weapon or shield, I put into a weapon and it made it a shotgun. It was ok, but not my thing. I may have actually stored that one though instead of selling it.

I have a badass pistol right now that I use for everything except those flying birds. I fricking hate those birds. I hear them squawk and then I get hit in the head before I can find them

Yea those birds suck. They aren't that powerful and you can usually get out of the area and they will stop dive bombing you without taking too much damage. Just a hassle to deal with.

I know. But I sold my only good shotgun because I thought this other one was better. My $250 slag shottie was the best one so far.

I would think what ever the skin changing place says if you played the first one. Isn't there a skin in there for that? I believe it is Pandora Legend.

I made it as Pandorian Legend first and didn't like it but still not sure with it now.
Oh well. I doubt I sell as many BL shirts as I have DayZ shirts. The DayZ fan base is pretty passionate.

there is a skin for all of the characters that is something similar. it's either "Pandora Legend" or "Pandorian Legend"....i'd go with whatever it is.
some of yall are doing it wrong with the guns. be more open minded.
when i am walking up on a big group of bad guys.
1st option: pull out sniper rifle with 2500+ damage and 100% critical damage. Pick off one or two.
At that point, psychos are running my direction. pull out shotty. boom boom. headshots. they are done.
the rest of the enemies will be tougher. so I use my elemental weapon (typically SMG or pistol, those have a broader range of elements) based upon what type of enemy they are.
Corrosive for robots and engineeers
Fire for nomads and giants.
Shock for enemies with shields.
Shotty's for spiders, skags, bonerfarts, rakks, and midgets. you can't miss their critical spots and they tend to run straight at you, head first.
you gotta be surgical with your weapons.
