WCW vs the World and World Tour are better games in my eyes once you realize that they were never meant to be WCW licensed games per say. They were part of the "Virtual Pro Wrestling" franchise in Japan which took wrestlers from a variety of Japanese promotions.

yeah but I didn't want to play with all of those un licensed Japanese wrestlers. So revenge gets the edge of world tour rather easily

Oh it absolutely does. I'm just saying that World Tour and vs the World suck as WCW games but they're really only released as WCW games in the west.

I probably have more memories playing Revenge with friends but No Mercy was the more complete game and probably the best from THQ on the N64.

It's between WrestleMania 2000 and revenge for me. I was a monster on 2000. I think it had the pile driver move you could assign to the tap A slot. It was nasty and crazy knock out potential.

WCW vs NWO.
Forst. Glitchy. But pure fun.

Warzone aged poorly but my friends and I spent a ton of time with it.
My friends and I still quote this game on the regular...
"You Suck player number 1, you suck!"

the controls for these games were so good.
Easy as hell to do a special move, the grappling interface, powering up your special move bar, great games.
I wish they would not have abandoned this easy controls. As stated above, I enjoyed Revenge and World Tour a lot more but No Mercy was a much much more complete game.
Have yall ever heard of Saturday Night Slammasters for the SNES? It was made by capcom. Game was pretty sweet.

I wore No Mercy out. It was definitely the more polished and fun game.

This one too. No licensed wrestlers though.

Wasn't it more of a fighting game like Wrestlemania and In Your House?

Wrestlemania 2000
I couldn't figure it out which game it was that I played the most. I think it was this one. Was my first 24 hour binge.

Yea, I mean coming from Capcom gave it a street fighter vibe.

loved Raw on Genesis because you could beat up the ref and they'd actually attack you after awhile.
We had Royal Rumble on Genesis. Loved that shite.
I just hated how slow they walked around the ring unless you ran.

It really is amazing how much worse the controls for current games are. I was at a kids bday with my son and a little guy asked me to play one of the newer games with him. It was so clunky and choppy compared to how smooth those old thq games were.
I was a big fan of this one when I was a child.

Royal Rumble in the arcade was great too because you could have like 8 or 9 people in the ring at once. That was a big deal in the late 90s.

Preach brother, preach.
I've tried some of the modern wrestling games and they are horribly clunky. Hit A+y+left bumper+right trigger while rotating the control stick 7/8ths in a counter clockwise motion.
Who comes up with these controls? The Marqui De Sade?
