The teaser trailer for Dead Island will always be number 1 for me. The game itself was terrible but the teaser trailer was amazing

I'm at work so I'll edit with the links later, but Star Wars: The Old Republic had amazing cinmeatics trailers.
Gears of War original trailer still gives me goosebumps.

Are we counting anything done by Blizzard? Back in the day the cutscenes for Warcraft 1 were amazing.

Man I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought that game was terrible. I tried so hard to like it, but gave up after about 2 gaming sessions because the controls were so bad.

That cinematic is amazing in and of itself, but I think what is most impressive is that they tied in a character that appears in one of the DLC into a cinematic before they even made the DLC.

The opening scene of Onimusha: Warlords blew my mind in 2001. It was the first PS2 game I ever played.

Duke Nukem Forever. 
The Final Fantasy 7 commercials basically hyped me into wanting a PS1. One of them actually spoiled Aeris dying though.

Seriously though, I wish I had a spoiler on that before hand. I was tearing up when she died, because A, I did not see that coming and she was my home girl... and B, I spent a shite load of time leveling her up because she was my home girl.
Might of been the first time I had pure Rage for a character since the Duck Hunt Dog laughed at me.

It was the second commercial. The narrator says "a love that can never be..." set to Cloud putting her body in the water.

I knew about it ahead of time anyhow because I had the official strategy guide. Aeris was largely worthless except for using her level 2 limit break to easily beat the boss and get Vincent.
