I imagine "launch edition" will be limited, whereas the standard edition would be considered normal stock?

Yeah the Launch Edition are probably very first batches and will be specially numbered.

I guess PS4. Went from NES to N64 to PS2 to XBox 360 to PS4 - I don't care about exclusive titles, so I'll go with the cheaper, ever-so-slightly-but-probably-negligibly more powerful system.
Edit: Although I'm primarily looking for a good multiplayer experience, and I know Xbox Live is good, but I don't know how the PS Network stacks up, or will on PS4.

I think everyone needs to consider that a lot, if not the majority of these games will be delayed. If you remember the start of last generation, everything was delayed and delayed often.

Xbox1 since 90% of my gaming time will be playing online multiplayer Halo, COD, Titanfall, Gears and Destiny. Why would I care about an online check in when all I play is online anyway. And pretty much all games I play are either cross platform or Xbox exclusive.

Been an Xbox homer forever.
Going PS4. Just seems like they are more aware of what their consumers want.
XB1 is doing wonders with innovation, but a million features I won't use are no more compelling as one feature I won't use.
