That's true but competition was a lot more slim back then. Apex has other battle passes to compete with whereas fortnite popularized it themselves.

I dont think it matters as much to Apex fans though. People who play apex in general seem to care less about cosmetics than FN fans. It will be interesting to see what happens if the BP for Apex doesn't sell that well. I know im personally not getting the BP because I genuinely couldn't pick out one thing that I liked enough from it.

This. And i still think people overstate skins making games better. They are a way to spend money on a game you enjoy playing, but they are hardly noticeable 95% of the time. If i dont point out to my teammates that I changed skins they don't notice. League of legends is different because you have a long arse loading screen showing them and see your teammates during the game. On apex I spend more time looking at my teammates map icon or their name over their head than their character model. Skins never took off huge in pubg for the same reasons, once you put on armor your clothes are covered up

also skins do make the champion select a bit more interesting. on a given night its me and my same 2 baws picking lifeline bloodhound wraith 30 times. shite gets old when its the same skin/quip/stat tracker etc.


plus as ive played more, I notice them in game a lot more. some skins look way cooler than others.

High-Speed Daredevil
If it doesn't involve diving, leaping, plummeting, or racing, then Octane wants nothing to do with it. Always the life of the party, Octane truly believes winning the Championship isn't enough... not if you didn't cheat death at least twice to get there.

Passive: Swift Mend
While not taking damage, Octane restores 1 health every 2 seconds.
Tactical: Stim
Move 30% faster for 6 seconds. Costs health to use. While active, Octane is affected less by attacks that cause slowdown. 2 second recharge.
Ultimate: Launch Pad
Deployable jump pad that catapults players through the air. Takes 90 seconds to recharge.
Cost:
12,000 Legend Tokens
750 Apex Coins

90 plus days to a season? That is a over 20 days more than a normal FN season.

The only thing that bothers me about this game is the inconsistency of the damage output.

I can punch someone immediately upon landing, and they live. They hit me three times, and I'm knocked.

I can walk up to someone and unload an entire clip into them...they just turn around and kill me in two hits.

I can't figure out the damage in this game. I feel like I'm playing with a handicap.

I picked up a golden prowler one night and I've been a believer in that gun ever since. The rest of that game was an absolute breeze.

Battle pass XP is faster to get than regular XP. It isn't too bad. I played way too much yesterday. Probably got to BP LV 6. Pathfinder is really fun now with the buffs.

yeah. the bonus xp for playing different legends adds up fast. think I'm up to lvl 4

agree with pathfinder. had fun playing him. octane too.

RIP to my fallen comrade bob, who was fricking with his grenade wheel and didn't see an octane jump pad I had placed 15 seconds earlier , which propelled him off the cliff at Relay.

Wait is that graphic right? The purple and gold shields absorb 750 damage?

ETA: NVM that's the knockdown shield. I thought I was loosing my mind.

ummm, they know ammo stacks in groups of 80 right, so why wouldnt they set a number at 160 or 240? no point in carrying a stack of 40 ammo

there is no inconsistency in damage output.

look at the color above their head when you shoot them, that is their shield level. players have 100 hp, Punching someone does 30 damage, meaning it requires 4 punches to kill someone with no armor, 5 punches to kill someone with level 1 armor, 6 punches for level 2 armor, and 7 punches for level 3 armor.

Yea I use 240 as my max for ammo unless i'm running two of the same ammo type gun.
