You can mod more ability respecs. A bit annoying they don't let you pay a large fee to respec whenever you want. I have 2.5 million with nothing to spend it on.
I can understand shorter games not having a respec but if you do 100% and explore a lot you can spend 100+ hours per play. Also a respec would make 100% sense in a cyberware world. Although I guess a respec is only needed early game. Late game you have almost every ability maxed now that they extended the level cap to 60 and Relic doesn't use up ability points.

I grinded out all of Regina’s side gigs and got Axotl (sp)
Lvl 26 or so. Reflex and Cool. Throwing knives and SMG and pistol.
That maelstrom cyber psycho with the sandy and the blades destroyed me though. I wasn’t ready for that
if I can’t stealth headshot or deflect melee I’m pretty weak. Nothing in Body will do that
Gonna move on to the next island soon.

It felt like they led you that cyberpsycho early and first to establish the threat. The rest of them were all soft for me, but she kicked my dick in about a dozen times.

I’m referring to the one that gets summoned around all those cut up bodies. Didn’t appear until after I cleared all the Regina side gigs

40 hours in now still grinding away side jobs and gigs. At level 39, invested in some monowire hands but I find myself never using them. I’m mostly a sniper/shotgun guy when I’m not going stealth. I got a bunch of badass high tier hacks but nowhere near enough RAM to use them lol. I find myself getting impatient the further I get and for most gigs go in blasting instead of taking my time with stealth like I was doing. But, I’ve gotten good at finding away to take out all the cyber psychos with stealth, can’t tell you the last tjme I fought one straight up
Decided to progress the story some so I wouldn’t get bored just doing side stuff. Did the whole Panam main story which was awesome. Also, finished all the side jobs with Panam and got to smash
Also, it’s all of a sudden got really buggy again. Had a full crash last night and had to re-load my last save. My character is all also all of a sudden always slightly moving left when walking or driving and it’s driving me crazy, haven’t ruled out this being a controller issue yet though. And had to restart a gig earlier when it wouldn’t let me talk to a tiger claw leader to end the mission. Shits annoying

Finished all of the side gigs (green missions) while on vacation this week. Spent about 4 hours yesterday just doing NCPD scanners, those things are a drag. I knocked out about half of them but I’m getting burned out. Think I’ll continue with the main story then hit them as I’m in the area. I pretty much just snipe everybody I can then clean up the rest with a pistol but I’m starting to run out of ammo. Some of them are off the beaten path and a pain in the arse to get to (on top of roofs, junk yards, dock warehouses) and I noticed some are real easy with just 4 or so people to kill but the ones where you get a text from the NCPD to use deadly force are harder and always have a mini boss. There’s one up in the hills where you fight a whole mech suit.
I’m at level 53 and I think it max’s at 60. Pretty much stopped looking at what I spend my skill points on as I figured I’ll probably have the tree maxed by the end anyway

I thought police scanners were random events?

Nah, can filter your map to show them and go find them all

Yeah they just don’t show up on the map until you toggle them in the key. Probably because there’s so many you wouldn’t be able to see anything else

That thing fricked me up too. It’s the “bloody ritual” cyberpsycho and the last one I had left. To beat it I had to use about 5 consumable perks and the iconic Katana you get after completing all of Wakako’s quests. Parry’d and countered until I finally got her. Guns wouldn’t work she’d frick me up as soon as I’d go to reload

The opening is pretty boring. Try and power through that

Just experiment with all the different weapons and find what’s funnest for you. You can’t frick up a build or stat tree because it’s a fairly easy game and you can get by with whatever you choose. I’m playing on hard and only 1 part was really challenging. I try to stealth most missions and roll with a shotgun/sniper weapon choice but recently got bored with that and been running with a heavy machine gun mowing people down. Melee weapons don’t really do it for me
Hacking is also fun once you get some good ones. Lately with the NCPD scanners I’ve been trying to find the enemy with the skull above it’s head and turn him into a cyberpsycho and watch the carnage

Yeah, it's a hell of a thing now. I see absolutely no reason for it not to be mentioned in the same breath as games like TW3, RDR2, etc, when people ask the standard "hey, just built my first real beast of a gaming PC, what should I play first?"

Maybe I'm just different, but the game was a lot more fun before I was a God. I power leveled and was around level 30 plus (also around there with the respect/notoriety mechanic) and the Panam missions are hilarious. I killed everyone before multiple of the nomads got to the battle. I'm still enjoying it, but I doubt I keep playing it another 40 plus hours.

For the last third of the game (played before the updates and all) I had a Tech sniper rifle that basically let me headshot anyone and everyone without any effort and it was way OP

I finished all the NCPD scanners over the weekend and was just sniping everybody for most of them. It made the game pretty boring so decided to lay off sniping unless I’m just feeling lazy. I agree with whoever said it earlier that once you finish all the side stuff and have nothing but the main mission stuff left it gets a little slow. Lots of dialogue to get through and I’ve been doing side stuff for so long I can’t even remember what’s going on in the main story right now
