Well, it was a friday night. I'm sure all of you were busy.
Have you seen the length of my replies to new build posts?
You haven't wasted your money yet. You have one more chance to redeem yourself. Amazon is one of the easiest and most understanding when it comes to returns. Take advantage of that and at the very fricking least, send that shitty overpriced video card back. There is no excuse not to.
And if you're sending back the card and you get use the proper return reason to get Amazon to give you free return shipping, you might as well take stout's advice on the rest of the build.

Well, i just got 2 emails from amazon saying they cancelled my orders. What the frick is wrong with them to screw something like this up.

It happens, now make the adjustments.

Blessing in disguise.
One time I ordered something on Amazon while using a VPN (not on purpose, just forgot to turn it off after torrenting some stuff). They called me about an hour later to confirm that I'd placed that order, and then they processed it.
Let somebody make you a PCpartpicker list before you order again.

For the record even people that know what they are doing on this board usually run their purchases by the board before hand just in case.

Stout, where did you find that psu for that price?

The fractal r4 isonly $10 more but is a 100000x better of a case. I would recommend that or the midi r2 for any build of this budget.
Those fractal cases quality cant be beat. Plus they're built for silence

I didn't even look at that. I just stopped at the cheapest quality one I found for him but yea that would be a good choice.

I know yall are talkin cases but beyond that, no clue.

I usually don't include microcenter in my pcpartpicker list. Their instore deals mess up prices and their shipping usually makes other deals not worth it
Posted on 7/20/13 at 2:13 pm to stout
You think it would be a good idea for a thread to help guide new pc builders with some rules of thumb? Something to help pick parts and get the most out of their money.

Good practice. Stout seems to always find cheaper deals on shite that I completely overlooked.

It wasn't Microcenter when I originally made that. The 300R was on sale at Newegg yesterday and PCPartpicker didn't have it updated yet on their site this morning.

Stick to this list and you will be fine
bro the 8320 is $145 on newegg right now. no way is the 8350 a $55 better processor.
