It's just the concept that PC gaming will die off without steam is absurd. It's nice to have it all in one spot, but there are so many other ways to play games now.

Steam saved PC gaming. There's no doubt in my mind that PC gaming would be much more of a niche experience than it is today if not for how easy it is for developers to port games over to Steam and how easy it is for consumers to simply log into a single storefront buy and maintain all their games.

No need to keep disks, manuals, manually download patches, etc.

I don't know if I would say that the influx of digital distribution services will kill PC gaming, but the exclusivity deals where a game releases only on one platform or another just makes gaming on a PC more of a hassle where you have to sit and think what platform you have what game on not to mention the need to install and run all the various clients that will eventually just bog down your PC.

Blizzard used to be the hottest name in video games. Things can change quickly in the gaming industry. You better put out good product or you’re getting canned

I dunno if you knew this or not but you can make shortcuts to the games and not go through the launcher.

The last few years are a big testament to that. The gaming industry moves insanely fast these days. Established large companies coasting off their brand name and established IP's isn't as sustainable a model as it used to be.

Hot new games and genres both pop up and die off remarkably fast now.

There's much more competition now and the average gamer is less brand loyal than they used to be in the past.

No, the 800 is total amount to be laid off.

As a result they are boosting the number of developers 20% that are working on their major titles including CoD, Hearthstone, OverWatch, Diablo, WoW.

Smart move here actually, cut down the eSports divisions and admin positions to boost development on their main games.

No, it's total. 8% were laid off today of the 20% (800) total.

In Malta? Unlikely.

I'll let them know your concerns when I talk to them again soon.

Uh, here in New York City, where I live. Try again.

Yeah, let me know how the talks for Sony in Springfield, Missouri go.

You think digital marketing is location based?

You're 0/3 now.

You're the one that thought all of King's 10+ studios were in Malta. Try again.

If you're a remote employee, which I doubt, you're some bottom rung cog. But yes, let me know what the upper level management of King and Activision say.
