I’ve logged over 100 hours

Missions and quests reward you with the same garbage in this game so there’s no rush to complete anything. Nothing special about the gear. Story is eh.

How did you put 100hrs into a game that doesn’t interest you?

Game was way too long. Like it could have half that length and I would have felt maxed out. Part of that is my fault going for the 100%, had I done a little less I would have enjoyed it more. The story was pretty good. All the random map icons and the compulsion to clear them all did me in.

Odyssey > Origins > Valhalla

I'd agree with this. As much as I prefer Bayak and Aya over Alexios and Kassandra, Odyssey is the more complete game IMO.

Boredom, stress relief, and a desire to keep trying to like it as much as Odyssey. It’s never clicked. I also thought about 100% completing it just for completion sake. Way too much effort for that.

It’s probably not 100 hours of actual gameplay though. That’s just what the log says. I’ve left the game on while going to do other stuff for hours at a time.

Also. Traveling in this game sucks. The fast travel points are shite compared to Odyssey.

It’s the same game as Odyssey set in Viking Era instead of Greece. I personally love Valhalla but yes al AC games are a chore to complete.

If they keep making games like Odyssey and Valhalla I’ll keep playing them.

So I'm about 10 hours into the DLC and I am really enjoying it. The new sickle swords are pretty badass. I'm currently using Mjollnir in my right hand with the sickle in my left and it's really doing work.

I like the royal demands and trading post system they incorporated. I definitely think it's worth the extra $25.

The lack of gear is the biggest difference. I got much more fun out of exploring in Odyssey because it's entirely possible that I'll stumble across some awesome gear that I can equip and totally change the way I play the game.

On Valhalla, you just jump around looking for how to unlock a door from the inside so you can get an ingot that you probably already have a surplus of so you can upgrade the same basic weapon you've been upgrading for hours of play time.

I put 50+ hour into the game but my interest just faded by the end and I never finished it. To be fair, I did really enjoy the updated combat system though. I had much more fun when I just stuck to the main story.

Ya, finally back in the DLC after trying it for a couple days then focusing on finishing the main story.

I now have all four Isu weapons, got the Isu ending, and am at 400 power with 15 mastery points. I curb stomp everything now.

Anyway, the DLC is a ton of fun. Almost a horror aspect to it with the Children of Danu.
