I'm seeing that they're releasing this DLC April 29th and cannot wait. I've never bought a DLC before but this is a no doubter for me. I absolutely love this game and it is the closest I've ever gotten to platinum. I just have a bunch of the floating papers and anomalies to complete.

How long are these DLC campaigns? This one sounds fun but the Ireland DLC they have planned for the future seems to be the longer of the two.

Gotta complete all those if you want the "cool" ending.

ETA: And I just read it's delayed until May 13th.

Will I still get to see it if I've beaten everything else? Or should that have been completed before finishing the main quest? I'm honestly just looking for stuff to do at this point, I don't want to put it down I've gotten all of the mythical weapons outside of the Isu bow since I don't feel like waiting to hit the rock at the perfect time.

I work on AC Valhalla every night. I'm 50 hours in and I still have like three places to pledge to.

I'm waiting till I get a Series X to get this game. This is the only game that makes me want to pull the trigger immediately instead of waiting for All Access to be more readily available. Hopefully there's an "Ultimate Edition" out when I finally break down and get the console.

Think you had to do it before finishing the main quest. It's the "Isu" ending in case you want to youtube it.

This game finally got its hooks into me. Took me a while to figure out the loop, and I'm not really a fan of either version of Eivor, but I feel like I'm doing a lot more exploring than I did with Origins or Odyssey.

How could you not go crazy exploring in Origins?

It is ancient Egypt!

Edt: Lots of cool stuff under pyramids. Forgot the canyon/valley that had some ancient architect/civilization/proto civilization vibes.

Agreed. The ancient Egyptian setting of Origins was phenomenal

This was the first AC game I didn’t get very far into. I guess I should give it another shot.

It all became the same thing after a while. Sandy, brown, bunch of old stuff. I loved the setting of Origins and found the egyptian lore great, but after a while I just started streamlining the story. I've played through it twice so I obviously loved it. But I think so far this world is more vibrant and interesting...now. I might get to the same point, but the way they lay out world events and mysteries seems to have me more inclined to just ride around.

Best aspects of the last 3 IMO:

characters and soundtrack - Origins
combat - Odyssey (and also made me like sailing for the first time in this series)
incentive to explore - Valhalla

60 hours in but haven’t played in a couple months. It’s a time suck for sure, I’m still only in Lunden which I don’t think is even half way. It’s got a ridiculous amount of content and I got a bit burned out, but plan on returning after I get rid of some of my backlog

Right there with you.
I think I'm 2 regions past Lunden but I haven't played since January.

I love the game. Just work and women don't allow that 5 hour shift of game playing I need.

I also put the controller down because I just can't beat that 3rd sister. Haha

Side note.

Is there a story at all to this game? I feel like I’ve barely done any missions and all I can really do is build my settlement up. Or run little errands.

There is. It's takes a little while to get rolling, to see the bigger picture.

I just beat valhalla yesterday. Completed the story line and killed all of the Order members. Absolutely loved it. Towards the end I got a bit tired of the exploring, once I got my gear maxed out and above ~300 power. There is almost too much content. I've been playing it since I got my ps5 in January . My measly 5-7 hours a week is tough.

I’ve logged over 100 hours. Haven’t played on about two months. Haven’t completed it yet. Don’t find it as enjoyable as ACO. Missions and quests reward you with the same garbage in this game so there’s no rush to complete anything. Nothing special about the gear. Story is eh.

Maybe I’m just tired of these games not really evolving in any real way.
