Most of the reviews focused on the mechanics, mainly stealth. It was hard and too punishing, lots of mission killing instances. They got rid of that and gave you the option to go blasters blazing if you wanted.
I didn't touch it for a while but after a few major updates, I saw the chatter about it getting more positive, especially from people who played it from the start, left and came back. I picked it up on sale and it's been a fun experience. Not perfect, but without a doubt a treat for hardcore Star Wars fans.
I know I don't speak this out of any knowledge since there is no way I'm watching a video that long, but I can say with some certainty there is absolutely no reason you need to spend that amount of time talking about this game.

FFS, 17 + hours of how bad this game is a colossal waste of money and time, but sure, 'some' might enjoy it.
Opinions vary....
I loved Homefront 2 ... a game that was pretty much universally trashed.
Am I supposed to not respect the opinion of the reviews that I generally agree with and have earned my trust over the years because MauLer spent 18 hours trashing it? I appreciate his deep dives. His Resident Evil 7 one was on point imo. but it doesnt mean I think nobody outside of over the top SW fans can get some entertainment out to the game or that anyone that suggest so is a shill

That's because you're not me.
And I'm not talking about this game. MauLer (and many others are). I'm just watching.

It's not just him. It's a host of others adding their own playing experiences. He does the narrating, but because he did play the game, felt so compelled to do this vid. Not JUST clowning the studio but also for all the other trash games 'Gollum - Lord of Ring' and WHY they are so bad.
From janky mechanics to below chatGPT quality story and dialogue. Oh, and don't forget the price for a quality AAA game too! Star Wars Theory said $160 for 'early access' and the game wasn't even ready.

fricking this. Quite obviously this Peter Pan motherfricker certainly doesn’t have offspring.

It’s nothing about that but sure, skipping this one is best for you.
I'm skipping it because I can think of thousands of things that are a better use of 17 hours of my life.

Makes for great background noise when I’m putting up Christmas ornaments or cleaning the place, doing laundry… But to each their own.
