It's nothing for PC I believe. Console it just combines Game Pass + Live Gold sub.

All the processing power in the world doesn't mean anything if you don't have any good games. Playstation is killing them in exclusives. No one's paying $900 for past their prime Halo games.

Right, but they still have to price it to reflect that power, they are spending a lot more to get it.

I don't see any way they price it below or even the same as the PS5.

Say the PS5 is $499, I'd expect the Xbox to be at $549 or $599 depending on how much they can eat of the extra cost for the more powerful gpu. If it's $699, then I would think the PS5 would be at $599 ($499 digital).

So Pringles (the canned chip company?) leaked the price? That is funny.

R621,000 = $600

$900

This would move me from 100% chance of buying to 0% chance of buying.

It would have to come with lifetime Game Pass before I'd consider paying $900.

I disagree completely. Game Pass blows away anything PS has to offer.

90% of Gamepass games are trash. I’m always desperately waiting for something good to lol up

The offerings have improved a lot imo in the past year. There are at least 10 relatively high or very high profile games available now that I've never gotten around to play. I give the service this credit...the games that I've really enjoyed were games that either fell off my radar or probably would not have purchased but gave them a shot and really enjoyed.

I've played, and enjoyed, a lot of games I never even would have even considered purchasing or playing if not for the fact that they're included with Game Pass.

PS4 killed Xbox One at launch. They will do anything they can to match or undercut PS5. Consoles are sold at a loss and Xbox will be looking to push GamePass as hard as possible to recoup.

Was just coming to post this.

Seeing that the Series X is confirmed at $499

WindowsCentral

quote:

We can confirm via our sources that the entry-level Xbox Series S will cost $299 at retail, with a $25 per month Xbox All Access financing option, which Microsoft is planning to push hard via various retailers and a large global rollout. The more powerful Xbox Series X will cost $499, with a $35 per month Xbox All Access financing option.

What do they do if you don't pay your bill? Send Bill Gates to your house to bust your knee caps? Brick it?

With the $300/$500 pricepoint all but confirmed, you'd have to imagine that Sony will have a $400/500 pricepoint incoming.

So they factor in the game pass ultimate in the monthly payments as $15 a month instead of a bulk monthly deal?
