I like the way you think, sir.
For 3 years I had a job that always had me out of town during e3, so I had plenty of time to come up with reasons to not get upset about it. At the end of the day, I always saw everything everyone else did - but I didn't have to put up with the craptastic filler that every single presenter feels they have to fluff up their conferences with.
also, that job paid better than my current job that doesn't take me away, it was a win/win in hindsight

Those people are our age and don't know that there were video games in the 80's and 90's that cost $70. With inflation taken into account we are getting these games at an incredible price compared to what they used to be.

A sequel to a game like The Order probably would've been very good, but we'll never know as the game sold poorly due to its critical reception.
Most people are predicting a sequel because it sold decently. These days developers say reviews aren't as important as the attention they bring and the reviews brought it a lot of attention.

The way I see it, the market it shifting and people have to adjust. Good developers that make good games and run a good business still succeed. It's always easy to blame the industry. There may be less room for error but it's not as bad as some make it.

Doom looked really good.
I loved Doom 3, excited we are getting another one.
Anything leaked on the Nintendo front yet?

That's a lot less likely if the rumors are true regarding Sony dropping them.
Whether due to laziness or not, devs in triple A studios will stick with prove. Concepts. Because there is less room for error, you will not see as much invasion for fear that the game will flop. You will not see as many games in general because games are now like Holywood films.

Sony didn't drop them. Ready at Dawn is going to publish their own games. To my knowledge Sony never owned them, just contracted them to make games for them much like Insomniac does. Sony does own the Order IP though.
What you see now is more smaller games which is fine with me. There are still studios doing things different like Bethesda. EA and Ubisoft will make business decisions so I don't have high hopes for them but they don't represent everyone.

One is a much better console IMO because of all the online features that it gives you.
I think the xbone is a one decent dashboard update and a decent controller away from being as good if not better than the ps4. Xbone has more features outside of gaming cleary, but the UI is abysmally laid out and slow. There is absolutely zero intuitiveness.
ETA: With the release of Bloodbourne, I think the exclusives are a wash atm.

Bloodborne is not a game that will appeal to everyone. For this reason, I still think Microsoft has the edge in exclusives. In addition to that, Microsoft seems to be trying harder to win over the consumer will Sony has been sitting back basically watching the cash roll in.
Both companies suck, but at least Microsoft has a reason to attempt to appeal to the consumer.

Yeah, Bloodborne holds no interest with me. I bet GameStop and Amazon had a lot of returns of the title.

It's not a huge market game but it's growing. It's the best game to come out since last of us imo.

Anything crazy expected form Nintendo?

I think you are selling it a little short. Bloodbourne is the exact type of game PS4ers want out of an exclusive. Not only that but is as just as much appeal if not more than a game like Forza, which even though is the best racing exclusive, it doesn't have huge appeal to everyone. I think before Bloodbourne, MS had the exclusives advantage, but now neither really has any sort of lead.
Also not sure how MS has been doing anything recently to show that they are trying any harder than Sony. Both are placing a lot of eggs in the E3 basket and I think the outcome of this E3 will show what each is focused on. With that said, hopefully Sony doesn't frick it up by going full retard with the VR stuff.
I'm not even sure what this means.
