I was very disappointed in Parkway Bakery last time I went. I ordered a medium size shrimp poboy. The length shrunk a lot....it was the size of a small poboy with a price of a large po-boy. It was tasty enough but a very poor value for the money they charged. I'll go elsewhere for po=boys and get a better value for my money.

If we go to Parkway, I will order a large then. Thanks for the heads up.

PARKWAY SURF AND TURF
Two of our signature poor boys all wrapped into one! Slow cooked Roast Beef topped with our Louisiana Wild Caught gulf Shrimp, then smothered in gravy.

The very same observation I made in my post a couple days ago in this thread. The wife and I went there and the bar was crowded so no space at the counter so we got in line. When I got to the window to order a regular roast beef po-boy dressed I looked up on the wall and saw what was a regular and changed my order to large-----and for what they charged, it should have been bigger.

Their regular size is about the size of 1/2 of a Rocky & Carlo's regular po-boy. I've not been back to Parkway since.

Just seems like it would get muddled down with too much going on.

To avoid this, I get the shrimp with a side of debris gravy to pour on

Favorite is probably Guy’s shrimp (the grilled shrimp is also good)

I thought mother’s and Landry’s were the requisite poboys for NOLA?

Katie’s in mid city. Get the Legend Po boy. It’s stuffed French bread with BBQ shrimp and Cochon de lait.

As much as I love Parkway Bakery for the roast beef and the fried shrimp. I do not like that combination mixed together. I usually split with someone.

I also like:
Mandina’s fried shrimp poboy
World deli meatball or veal parm poboy
