I have 0 problem with announcing the beers release and when it's sold out. It's actually rather nice to know.
The problem I do have is the fact that they are getting a larger than normal shipment of the beer and instead of keeping it at a few 4-packs per person, they raised the limit to a case per person. About 20 people will roll in and buy a case and they will be sold out in 15 - 30 minutes. Why not keep the same limit and have it sell out in a few hours but a few hundred people get some? Sure it makes sense as a business trying to quickly sell something but it pisses off the other 95% of their customers that didn't make it in the 15 minute window to walk away with a damn case
This. I just want a couple 4 packs, and that's it. I don't see that happening with the 'SOLD OUT in x minutes' goal in mine. Kudos for doing business, but there is no danger of not selling out of ghost. Just the the danger of not selling out in record time if you lower the limit.

Seems like this would make better sense for the store overall. Sure, most people will buy the beer and leave, but I guarantee many will walk around and buy other shite. This is especially true if they are hungry in the evening after a long day at work. I would think Calandros would want as many people to enter their doors as possible. It would be good business sense to limit it to a couple of 4 packs instead of a case.

Most grocer's will get it and not make a big fuss about it. Calandro's just prides themselves on being the first store to get it, which doesn't mean much when every other store gets it a day later. The supply has met the demand for the most part. I'm glad I dont have to call up store and get on a list anymore I can just walk in and grab it.

I hope the larger batch maintains the consistency of the small batch hops they have released recently.

4X > DDH Envie > Ghost > Envie > OV > Bloom

With Calandro's low low prices, the case will probably only set you back $150!

I haven't seen anyone else including Parish advertising this release?

Just because they get it doesn't mean John QPublic can buy it. They have to hoard it for their buddies first. F**k Alexanders

Wait I thought Jucifer was the hard to get beer?

But...T is tasked with selling beer for Calandro's. His job is not to make sure everybody in BR has a chance to get a 4-pack of XYZ. He advertises when it will be put on sale well in advance. People have ample opportunity to make plans to go buy it if they want to. Then he lets people know when it's sold out, so they don't waste a trip. I don't see how this is a bad thing. Hell, I wish other places would get on social media and announce when they plan to put these highly allocated beers on sale. It sure beats driving around town hoping Whole Foods or Bin-Q or whoever got their delivery and still has some. So he's doing his job (selling beer) and letting people know when it's going on sale and when there's no more available. You guys want to call it creating hype, I call it good business sense.
This makes WAY too much sense for this board

Why not just put the cases on the floor with a sign saying the limit per customer?

Instead of trying a little harder and setting myself apart

Setting yourself apart from what? This shite would sell in any store. Yours isn't anything special but nice try.
