Would you put Red Lobster on the same level as Applebees or Black Eyed Pea?

Red Lobster seems to be popular around here but I don't know why, it is not fresh seafood and is probably processed. It's like the McDonald's of seafood.

Would you say it is the same quality as other dump restraunts like Applebees or Black Eyed Pea, or Cotton Patch Café?

Red Lobster crab legs make me want to weep for landlocked humanity.

I have never been to a Red Lobster, probably never will. But the concept makes me want to throw up.

If I want seafood around here, I am going to a restraint that serves it fresh, and that won't be cheap.

Seafood is meant for areas around the water.

Most of the shrimp you eat is frozen. And a lot of the fish.

I worked at a red lobster back in hidg school. Many of you probably don't know this, but Darden runs a pretty tight ship at most locations. All fish was fresh, and only kept for 48 hrs after ship.

Also, I now work at a restaurant most of you would consider one of the best in NOLA and we use frozen shrimp.

I wouldn't put Black Eye Pea in the same category as RL and Applebee's. I refuse to eat at RL and Applebee's, I would eat at black eye pea.

Fresh vs frozen isn't really the issue. It's local shrimp vs Chinese shrimp.
