oh, i have no idea about restaurants. Don't think i have ever ordered that in a restaurant, and have neve worked in a place that served it. I am speaking from more of a home cook perspective.

Where r u from powerman???? I guarantee if you ask any person from lake charles to houma how to cook crawfish fettucine the recipe will include onion, bell pepper, celery, butter , heavy cream and velveeta.....

once again you do not know what you are talking about.....i have never been to a traditional cajun restaurant that prepared crawfish fettucine in an alfredo sauce...

That sounds like some terrible dip you would take to a Super Bowl party that is spooned over noodles.

I think this is a pretty good site of traditional and nouveau cajun cuisine......Check out the recipes for crawfish fettuccini:

crawfish fettuccini 1

Crawfish Fettuccini 2

Crawfish Fettuccini 3

Crawfish Fettuccine 5

Crawfish Fettuccine 7

Crawfish Fettuccine 9

Crawfish Fettuccine 10

Crawfish Fettuccine 11
Now r u gonna tell me that local restaurants in cajun country dont cook this dish the same as local families do????? Now shut the frick up on subjects that you know nothing about....

He said his meal sucked. I would imagine melting a old piece of sliced velveta would annoy the hell out of me if I saw it on my plate, regardless if people do it that way in some places. Velvetta with grilled chicken, yeah that sounds like a great place Mouton.

Mouton is right about south la. Lived there for 20 years and ate crawfish fettucine with velvetta the entire time all over south la. My mom even cooked it that way, she was not a great cook but i always enjoyed her food. I have moved away and i cook the same dish without the velvetta but i still eat my moms when i visit.
