World of Beer Building in Metairie??

The Beer Buddha has put out information that he has heard that a World of Beer is being built in Metairie on Veterans.
For those that live in a city with one of these places, how is it?

It's been discussed. It belongs in Metairie IMO.

I enjoy ours here in Katy.
No food though. Some places have more taps. But nobody has more bottles.

Ive been to two of them and I was pleased with both places. Its a corporate setting but the beer selection is top notch. The two I went to didnt serve food but they had arrangements with nearby places that would deliver to the bar if you wanted food.

I'm happy to have them around, but I think the mgmt/owners got very greedy at some point. They let the quality slip some and raised prices enough to chase away regulars, especially at the midcity bulldog.
I think their food selection is boring a shite, but hey, we can't get away from being bean counters long enough to put some thought into the menu.

Keep in mind this is Louisiana not Texas or some other state with distribution of many awesome beers. If they have 50 taps 20 will be Abita.

This is correct.
It's getting built across the side street from the Raising Canes near Houma.

Right now, it's just structural steel that's being put up.
It'll be a World of Beer on the second floor and potentially a Mooyah Burgers on the first floor.

The one in Katy is pretty good, kinda small inside, and I do wish they had food. They were supposed to open a small kitchen but never have. Good selection of beers though, close to my house

There are also plans to have Mooyah as a new tenant in the Riverwalk.
