Foothills Brewpub downtown. Food is meh but they are one of my favorite NC breweries (just had a couple Hoppyum IPA).

Is it that nobody on this board has been there, or there just aren't that many options?

I live in Winston-Salem. What type of restaurants are you looking for? All but two of these are downtown. Most restaurants and bars are on 4th St and Trade St.
Breweries: Foothills, Small Batch, Hoots
Irish Pub: Finnigan's Wake
Soul Food: Sweet Potatoes
Tex Mex: The Porch
Pizza: Mission Pizza
BBQ: Bibs
Southern Bistro: Willo's, Mozelle's
Italian: Quanta Basta
Coffee: Krankies (also a restaurant)

Thanks ... that's exactly the kind of stuff I was looking for. Wife's doing some consultant work at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She gets a per diem, so whenever she shoots out of town on a gig, I come to the FDB for recs.

They just released this years Sexual Chocolate. People line up down the street in the early hours of the morning for the first pours. You can find it in other bars throughout town too.
