It would appear Winn-Dixie is turning the corner after closing a slew of stores. I'm seeing lots of the older Winn-Dixies receive massive renovations. Hopefully we'll see them return to glory....Winn Dixie was the shiznit back in the day.

190 in Covington and Hwy 59 in Mandeville are currently being renovated on the NS. I won’t spend another dime at WD after the new Rouse’s opens on 1077 next week.

No one wants to shop at a place called Winn Dixie. They need to rebrand themselves.

Having an exclusive brand would suit them better.

Isn't the one on Lee and Burbank becoming a Ralph's?

Winn Dixie is also still adamantly pushing their card system.

"Nothing to see here, just collecting your personal information under the guise of a rewards program."

Plus their produce section sucks. I'll probably stick to Albertsons or Rouses for now.

How about DIXIE Fresh Market or DIXIE Foods?

I would lose anything that made me think it was somewhere my grandmother shopped. It has a stigma no matter how affordable it is.

Fresh in the title would probably help, but they need a huge rebranding to change the image of Chek cola, bad lighting, rectangle yellow cake with thick icing, and giant pictures of food above the department they represent.

Everyone can downvote away, but stores like Rouses and Publix have a fresh image just when you say the name.

The WD on 21 is pretty awesome. You need to check it out.

Hwy 21 has been our grocer for seven years now. That changes next week when the Rouses opens.

If that Rouses is run the way the one on 190 by walmart is it wont be there very long.

It amazes me that a rouses 1 mile down the road is so superior to the one by walmart. The one by walmart always has expired crap on the shelves.

But I am ready for the one on 1077 to open, with the bedico store and rouses open we wont have to go into town for much.

Is it really set for next week? I've been eying that for months now.

The Rouses on E. Causeway Approach always has half rotten produce on the shelves. Also the beef at Rouse's is a joke.

Wish we had Publix or HEB.

I've never understood the hate for Winn Dixie. If you want something like Publix go to Publix. But Publix is also WAAAAY more expensive especially for produce and meat. Publix meat selection is very expensive and they never run deals. Their steak selection sucks. I get boston butts from winn dixie for 99 cents to $1.49/ lb routinely, usually $2.99/ lb at Publix.

I like Publix don't get me wrong, but I like a variety of options. I prefer having somewhere different, thus Winn Dixie. I agree the new renovations make them a seemingly competitive store.

Its nice to have a decent chain better than Walmart but below Pulix is my point.

Where is there a Winn Dixie on the coast? Don't think there's one near me.

I'll put up with giving them my email in order to save $10 every time I fill my car up.

They are pretty bad. Bad produce and terrible meat selection. They also keep trying to unload Nova Vert with 12/7/17 bottle date.
