We’ve been enjoying Just Wingin It lately

Empire Wingz must be the best because people line up for it and they have the absolute shittiest service of any restaurant I have ever seen. Like, won't even acknowledge if they took your order or not service.

Pluckers is my favorite but it ain't cheap.

It is. I got a 10 wing combo and a soft drink the other day and it was $25.44. That's ridiculous

The bad part is wing prices are at pre-pandemic levels right now. No one is dropping their prices including my company

So what are distributors charging these days?

You must be an owner. JWI is the closest place to my house, but every time we go I leave trying to figure out how I spent that much money and I'm still hungry. What are those things, Cornish hen wings? And you better count them, I frequently get shorted, or get all flats or all drumettes. Last time it was all flats, the server explained that someone just ordered 3 dozen drumettes. I prefer a mix, I like the flats, wife likes the drumettes.

I wasn't going to get up after looking at the menu. Plus, I wanted wings man

I’ve never had an issue at Just Winging It. Always good wings. Wings are sold to restaurants in 2 sizes (small and large). I’ve had both there. Maybe they went to smaller wings when the price jumped shyhigh? Their crawfish is really good too.
My one wish would be if they would make the restaurant an order-at-the-counter style like Brewbacchers or George’s. Get rid of the young wait staff that isn’t knowledgeable and let me order at the counter and call my name when the food is ready. For it being a neighborhood restaurant like it is, I’ve always a thought that would be ideal.

I'll let you know my last price when I walk into my office today. It's dropped enough that it is better for me to sell bone in wings instead of boneless.

I paid $1.40/lb as of Friday

I hate this concept especially when meeting a group for lunch. Everyone is constantly getting up to get their orders, refills, utiensils, etc.
To each their own.

I've ordered from there twice. Wings were not good at all. 1) they were over cooked. 2) BOth times, there was NO rub on the wings. Their dry rubs have no flavor to them.

What? Do you mean the whole wing with the tip, or trimmed?

No, food providers sell different size party wings, whole wing is entirely different.
Although “small and large” might not be uniform across all companies and there are usually more than 2 sizes.
