No Blacks? I fricking loved it when we went there in Austin.

Also, surprised that Hoodoo Brown dude hasn't croaked yet.

Not the same Blacks, same family but not the same restaurant or food.

If certainly swing by and spend some time with Ubon’s and Danny Beck of Pearl’s. But lot of great bbq out there.

Great event.

Music lineup is 3.6 roentgen. I've heard good things about the Turnpike Troubadors, and Willie is still performing at 89 years old We're going tomorrow for Tim McGraw and maybe going back Sunday for Miranda. Sam Hunt can EABOD.

The Black's in that line up is not the Terry Black's you went to in Austin...related by distantly blood but entirely different operations.

Black's in Lockheart is one of the OG 3, but has fallen off significantly and is surviving only on historical reputation. Of the ones from Texas who are going there, they way down at the bottom of the list.

Don't miss Leroy and Lewis, esp. if they have their beef cheeks.

Btw, Loro is the joint venture of Aaron Franklin and Tyson Cole (Uchi, Uchiko). It's damn good but it's not by any stretch traditional BBQ.

make no mistake, Franklin's is Franklin's, but assuming they serve brisket they are doing so according to Aaron Franklin's recipe and process.

There was one of the New Orleans BBQ places up here last year and I got their BBQ gumbo or whatever it was. It was good, but didn't match some of the other places I got stuff from (Slab, Truth, etc).
