can you give me contact info for someone who is buying for that price
You can contact George Martin, of Navarro Pecan Co in Corsicana, Texas. He will buy in 20000 lb lots. I don't have his number handy right now but I can get it later if you need it. Prices averaged $2.52 last year.

The pecan tree in the front of my parents property was my primary source of income before I was of working age. I learned my first lessons about supply and demand and market fluctuations.
Sounds like a story someone would tell at a political convention.

I was actually picking some up out of the yard and my neighbor asked me could he get some as well. I obliged and he wanted to pay me and I said no. Well, yesterday his wife came by with a pound cake to thank me. Good god Im glad I didnt take any money because the pound cake was amazing.

I already have 4 five gallon buckets from my yard. How much can I sell these these for uncracked?

Funny. My family has always been in the baking business. My dad always said he'd never rob a bank if he needed a lot of money. He said he'd steal a truckload of pecans!

They were paying .50 a pound here as well. May have gone up a little as there have been a lot of folks out picking pecans. Fn people will come right up in your yard for a damn pecan.

the problem with selling them in my neighborhood is that the entire area used to be a pecan orchard. everyone has pecans trees

my parents have a dozen trees, so I get whatever I want for free
that being said I don't use pecans much.

if they're sorted by pecan variety you can sometimes get a little more, depending on the buyer.

Hand picking, processing.
It's a huge pain in the arse to get 1 lb. of pecans. If you take them to a processing facility uncracked, you might be able to sell them for $.75/lb. max.

We switched to cashews and almonds. They're cheap as dirt.
