I'm so glad I wrecked my palate of this beer two batches ago. No way I'll be able to enjoy my cases, especially with stout season around the corner.

I finally tried this beer yesterday. It's a solid dipa. Really enjoyed it. I don't guess I get all the hype though. There are lots of solid dipas.

Heady Topper? Probably not, no. But it certainly is in the ballpark with heady, sculpin, etc. That alone is remarkable. There's nothing remotely close in the IPA world in Louisiana

I don't get any hype for any beer. I love them all don't get me wrong, but I think we are way past the point in the craft beer world to be chasing stuff down.

See my review. Not just being a homer on Ghost, but i prefer it over heady. The beers are nearly identical, except i find ghosts flavor is more consistent throughout. With Ghost you get all of that citrusy, dank aroma and flavor through to the end. Heady, you get that same citrusy, dank flavor, but in the end, you get more piney flavors. I also find Ghost has a much stronger aroma than Heady did.
The hops used between the 2 beers have to be identical as well as the grain bill, process and maybe water chemistry is where the beers differ, IMO.

It's a phenomenon in areas with limited availablity apparently. That said, special releases can always breed excitement and get people's dander up wherever you go.
