I had a Lincoln road starlight pick, but it was the straight bourbon. It was okay. Cigar batch blows it away.
I think they must hold some of their picks back. I’ve gotten a couple of Russell reserve picks that are no longer on the shelf by calling and asking for them.

How's that Ezra? Bought a bottle in January and haven't opened it yet.

Good to know about LR. I'll definitely keep that in mind for future trips. In addition to the cigar, I have the port and honey rye from them.I've got a sherry, white port, and vdn rye from Maisanos. The double oak is from Seelbachs. All are good and a few are excellent.

FPD a multiple award winning high proof wheat, super solid, brought home from a weekend trip to Michigan from the distillery.

I only have 8 and 9, solid pours for sure. I can’t wait to pop the new Willett Rye SiB

I’ll post a review of both the rye and the 134 proof bourbon (heard a 133.8 proof bourbon dropped recently too), but I’m going out of town tomorrow so it won’t be until probably the weekend of the 11th.

That's what I'm sipping on right now, agree on the oak and spice. Did a side-by-side with Champagne's BT from a few months ago and Champagne's has a much fruitier finish.
Both are excellent picks.

I'm jealous. The standard rye has been my go to for years. I think the Willett x Blackened will be in the same general vicinity as the 7yr, but there's nothing quite like the few purple top bourbons I've had. That's the one I'd be really excited about finding.
