I’ve got a growing collection of 70 or so bottles of Scotch (plus another 20 or so bourbon, rye and Japanese whiskey). But I’ve never had even a sip of Dalmore.
No real reason, it just one I haven’t gotten around to.

I like it. I don’t drink a bunch of tequila to be able to tell you if it’s good quality or not. I do like the flavor, easy to drink, and the barrels to change the profile from one to the other. I mainly wanted them for the novelty of what barrels they are aged in.

That's a nice collection!
I've got several bottles from the Dalmore line. I really enjoy what they put out. The only complaint I have about them is that they add color to the whiskey. It has no affect on the taste, just makes it look darker and more appealing to the eye.

Yeah a lot of whisky purists complain about that. Doesn’t bother me as long as it doesn’t affect the taste. Hell I think even Lagavulin 16 adds some coloring to their whisky and it is among the best around.

I agree. It's an unnecessary step for them. their whisky speaks for itself.

I think they do.

I applaud your step into tequila. Hopefully, you fall in love and sell me your whiskey collection.

I don’t have any more I sold it already
It’s fun to have them all back to back to see how each barrel changes the original product.

Tewino, if you're in the market for rum recommendations, try Dorado 21

I read that as Drano 21 at first

I believe the vast majority of scotches do that actually. It’s not regulated or frowned upon there, so they do so to get the exact color profile they want.
At least that’s what I’ve seen in some of the videos I have watched. I easily could’ve misheard

Haha. Not trying to kill my Bourbon brethren. Note to self, use pictures from now on.

How is that Balvenie in the background?

One of the easiest drinking scotch whiskey's out there. Not overly complex. Just a rounded smooth sweetness with a nice flavor from the rum casks. If you like rum it's worth a try, if not you might want to pass.
