They are store pick BT. Last year, Piggly Wiggly’s store pick BT was the best bourbon I had last year, especially for $22 a bottle.

Now that we’ve tried it, it’s still damn good, not as good as last years.
The Aquistapace store pick isn’t good.

Very rarely see it in central MS.

Ah. Your pic doesn’t show any of the labels store picks.

I didn’t buy any of adams BT picks this year but I doubt it’s “not good”. Do you mean it isn’t as good as pigs? It’s worse than regular BT off the shelf?

Aquistapace is known for having really good BT picks.

Correct, it’s a little better than a garden variety BT, but I would not buy it again.

The Piggly wiggly pick is damn good

On behalf of most of the regular posters in this thread, please kindly refrain from your dick-measuring brag posts and stick to antiquing.

This thread was started for bourbon enthusiasts to share their nightly pours and have a communal setting in which to enjoy those sips.

More often than not, you’re more adamant about showing off what you’ve found and what you have than what you actually sip. That’s great...there are a ton of Facebook groups that encourage that.

This isn’t that group. We all have an occasionally good find...like most others, please post it along with your 1PD

Full disclosure: you were generous to send a pair of wooden cigar coasters to me as the winner of a random raffle...I am grateful for these and try to put them to good use often, as I think you should with your frequently-shared photo collection.

If “bragging” about picking up some store pick BT gets your panties in a wad, and you consider it a dick measuring brag, that’s your problem.

Unlike many people here, I don’t buy everything under the sun and brag about all my different pours every night.

I’ve been posting in this thread since the first one.

As you can see in my last photo, I like BT family bourbon, and that’s pretty much all I buy. I may have all of 20 bottles in my entire collection (I don’t like calling it that because I don’t “collect” bourbon). I open and drink everything I buy. I don’t sell my stuff. I learned most stuff is way over price junk.

I know the photo of all those BT bottles looks extreme, but it is basically 4-5 bottles each between me and my friends (and three of those are 375 ML bottle each).
BT is my daily drinker, Weller SR is my second.

If my photo of the Michtner’s hurt your feelings, oh well. Someone did the exact thing about five posts before mine.

And BTW, if you want some of the BT Piggly wiggly SP, they have about 100 cases (I’m guessing they bought two or three barrels).

I don’t buy stuff just because I find it. I actually passed on a bottle of Blantons and Weller SR today, because I don’t need them. I actually don’t care much for Blantons. I won a bottle a couple weeks ago at Hokus Pokus. I traded it to a friend for a Eagle Rare and Weller SR.

Was my post about the Michtners a brag, maybe so. I’ve never had a bottle.

Was my post about the 17 bottles of BT a brag, no. It’s fricking BT (9 of which are 375). It was to let people know Piggly wiggly & Aquistapace has their store picks, and Piggly Wiggly’s is better (IMO).

The photo you posted of you drinking Weller 107 is a brag in its self. “Look at me, I’m drinking rare 107 as a daily drinker.”

Why did we (not I) buy 17 bottles of BT? Last year, Piggly wiggly had a store pick. It was unbelievable. I got two bottles, went back a few days later, they were sold out. When they dropped this year, we bought 8 bottles between the three of us. (My sister, who lives on North Shore, picked them up). While I was there today, I ran to Aquistapace, and I found they had a BT store pick as well, but only 375’s left, so we bought three each.

Unlike many here, I don’t hoard bourbon, I don’t wait outside stores before they open, waiting to see what’s new. Hell, I haven’t even been to Total Wines yet. I heard there’s a line every morning.

In short, if my photos of my small collection offends you, you are the one with the problem.

I would say it’s a brag now that I think about it. All you fricks standing in lines before stores open, hitting stores everyday, hoping to buy up everything you come across, is not effecting my small buys of just the stuff I want.
How many on here can say they would pass up a bottle of Blantons and Weller SR, just because they don’t need it?

I did.

I really like Papa’s Pilar but haven’t seen it anywhere around here. I’ll be in Key West in a couple of weeks and hope to make some time for a distillery tour.
