I get the emails from steelbachs about that blue run but have a difficult time pulling the trigger on a blind buy at that price point. Your thoughts? And yes that bottle is gorgeous

I saw it during the last release and thought….”damn, what a fkn bottle but the proof was low” spent too much on my trip back from vacation so i passed . When it came through again i saw the proof was 111 and that was the feedback from the first , that it needed proof. So it was an easy decision to pull the trigger and it was cheaper. Tasted it and I LOVE IT. I love a high rye bourbon too.

So found 3 of these today….get this……at Walmart! $65. Not the Cask Strength bottle but a damn good pour that I don’t believe is readily available around here anymore. I have a bottle of the Bourbon Fest pick and it’s phenomenal but this regular release is really good too.

The single barrel and other limited releases are really good bourbon, but the price to acquire them can be very high
