Two of the guys I was with had went to the Ragged Branch dinner/tasting a few months ago. They both said they weren't fans of anything poured that night but the Rye was not served, it was strictly their bourbon releases. The Rye stood out last night probably in part because it was the highest proof but it honestly had a pretty good finish to it as well as alot of character up front. I forgot the price point but it wasn't a bad pour. That being said, I'm not sure it's a bottle I need to have but it did seem to separate itself from the others last night.

I like it a lot. Smooth like you want an irish to be, without being overly sweet. Doesn't drink like a 46%.
