I’ve had some McKenna 10s that were some of the best bourbons I’ve had, and I’ve had some that were more mediocre. There’s definitely a range, but the good ones punch way above their weight class imo.

Epic and BigPerm
It is def good. Ill get a pour tonight and see if i pick anything diff. Maybe im getting the char and vanilla combo is making me think of a cigar. It is def not a typical rye. I dont even get a lot of rye on the finish. Very nice.

I can see this. The char is heavy, IMO. Probably the heaviest barrel char/smoke note I’ve had on a rye or bourbon.

Have you had their 10 year? I’m almost finished the DO and wondering if I replace it with the 10 next.

Also not sure how Total Wine marks up MSRP on these BT products.

Jealous. All three of those are still allocated raffles at double msrp whenever you can actually find them up here. Its absurd.

I have not, but it’s 10 year MGP rye, so I can’t imagine it’s bad.

That is pretty funny. That said, I only hide a purchase so she does not retaliate with an outing at a shoe store or something.

Also, i don’t stand in line for anything, except maybe BBQ when in Texas.

Just got out of mine, it’s been a pool, beer, and fried fish day so far. But it’s about to be whiskey time.

It's a great buy at $40 or less. Very drinkable. Smooth without a lot of spice if you're in the mood for something like that.

Definitely on the sweeter side. Not my cup of tea, but it's a good bottle for the $35 or whatever it was
