EC 15 and Heaven Hill 22 distributed in the NOLA region today
That HH 22 is getting rave reviews, too bad they will all be spoken for before they even get unpacked from the boxes

Local Rouses still has a Willet 12yr purple top basket behind the counter. This is the third weekend its been sitting there. $600. Yikes.
I’ll have to settle for my four year purple top Willet. It’s very good none the less.

I’ve had a pour of one and while it was good, it was not worth the money spent on it. I think it was an 11 year.

I enjoy that funk it has. I even like the rye.
I haven’t had the 12yr but I would think the funk and richness would be elevated.
May have to try a pour at local establishment.
I just can’t justify $600 on a bottle.

I was in a grocery store and they had a 2XO Sneakerhead for $35. I couldn’t pass it up. No idea if it’s any good but for $35 I’ll make cocktails if it sucks.

Have had several 2XOs
None have been amazing, including the gem of Kentucky. But they have certainly all been better than $35 whiskey. Solid pours, you made the right choice
I think that you’ll find it’s definitely above mixer quality

Been working on putting together a retirement gift for one of the wife’s coworkers, He is from Kentucky and a big bourbon guy, Here is what I have put together so far.
Keeneland Decanter and Rocks glass set, Aged and Ore 4 sample and tasting glass travel bundle, Bottles are EHT SmB, Blantons (his favorite). Angels Envy a coworker chipped in, Bookers Jerry’s Batch, OF Single Barrel BP Rye, Woodford Bacth Proof Rye, and a Magnus Cigar Blend. I think, that is pretty good.
