I tried some based on a buddies recommendation. My heart raced all night and woke up with a bad hangover.

I do.. I believe makers 46 and Widow Jane decadence are Sherry Cask finishes. Both I love.

I’ll have to grab a bottle. I usually grab bottles from Hokus Pokus in Prairieville and they have a few.

Dosed
Which means that rum had addives ....
It's already distilled from sugar cane and molasses but some nasty crap is added to it

Hangovers are caused by dehydration

I travel to Louisville area a good bit so I typically stay a night in Frankfort to hit some distilleries. Whiskey Thief is out there. I think they have the best product out there. Everything is a single barrel though so I don’t see distribution happening until they change that model. You can buy online and get shipped.
I was at Buffalo Trace a couple weeks ago. They are now doing Weller Antique as a rotating bottle instead of Weller Green. Crazy how much the industry is hurting right now. They also had a special drop of 200 bottles of Weller CYPD. They also do 2 bottles of special bottles daily. Seems like they are begging people to come there now. Good stuff though.

They need to stop with their fake allocation shite. They are sitting on so much inventory. They are scared to lose their scarcity model because many of their offerings are average at best.

Weller Antique is phenomenal in my opinion. EH Taylor used to be my every day, years ago before they started allocating it. Couldn’t find it for 6-7 years. As of about 6 months ago it started hitting shelves again in DFW.
I think Blanton’s and Eagle Rare are overrated and live on the premise of scarcity.

Agreed. Just got my first bottle of it last week.

ER10 for MSRP is very good, IMO. Blantons needs to be in the $60 range

People that say Buffalo Trace products are average at best are just the ones that are mad they cant get it for MSRP (or cant get it at all)

I find it to be average. It was a good value when it was $30 but even then I didn't seek it out.

Anyone tried the Jack Daniel's Triple Mash yet?

Pretty Yummy for the price. Would never have guessed it was Jack if I hadn't known.

-1.

The so called scarcity thing makes them no money. The money being made is after the bottles leave.
