How is the Penelope wheated?

I think its fantastic and I'm not normally a wheated guy. According to the bourbon nurds in this thread, the Bardstown wheated is even better

I've had a couple bottle of Bardstown wheated and think it's excellent. So if it's close to it then it's definitely worth a bottle.

And redwood empire screaming titan is better than both of them. Just saying but everyone’s palate is different

Very good. This is a store pick from Maggios in Natchitoches. They pick great barrels.

Calling the red label the lower tear at this point. I’ll fight on it.

That Bardstown Def punches above its weight class at 49. Haven't had all the other more pricey ones.

Sir, respectfully, is there a place where the 107 can be had on a regular basis? If so, pm me. I’ll dibble and dab in some secondary ish bottles.

I'd find out who the local Facebook bourbon groups are and join them. 107 pops up quite a bit here

Honestly do you find that Weller 12 is much different than special reserve? I didn’t again everyone’s palette is different. I fell that Weller is Weller unless you have full proof that’s the good stuff.

I really like the 107, there is a difference and the special reserve is at the bottom

I know special reserve is the bottom, I just don’t see a profound difference between SPR and Weller 12. Weller 107 is better than both of them. But my choice in Weller is the full proof. Like I always say everyone has a different palate.

A couple of things, and yes, the age on W12 gives it the appropriate complexity over SR.

I think most if not all, on here would say if all these bottles, SR, 12, 107, FP, SB, etc, are on the shelf, we reach for 107 and FP at retail price.

Things become a bit more reserved in choice when you start dealing with secondary and, even then, availability. I see 107 a lot more often than FP, and when I see FP, it's at a secondary price I am not willing to pay.

In general, I'd compare SR w/ Larceny and Larceny gets the bump.
