FPD fresh crack.....chocolate, raisins, plums, cherries with cinnamon touch at the end and a long finish for just a 92 proofer. Most Excellent

ETA: after drinking a pour, my palate adjusted and it's more mellow, mostly the chocolate sticks around and the other flavors are there but not as intense. Finish is still long.

Buddy’s infinity barrel. Bottom of the barrel on the side.

Orgy in my mouth.

Anyone had anything close to this and have an opinion on it?

Very cool that Knob creek single barrel picks are now cask strength. In general knob creek single barrels are some of the best values in bourbon even when they were only 120 proof. Something like $60 for 9/10 year 120 proof single barrel bourbon.

I went to New Orleans last night. We booked a room at the Hotel Montelone. I went to the carousel bar and I asked if had anything better than Blantons or Eagle Rare. He breaks out pappy 23 year he said it’s $295.00 for a 1 ounce poor. Hahaha I told him I’m gonna have to pass.

I rarely pass these up when I see them. Value is certainly there and they're usually pretty reliable (very few misses...not a big fan of dropping $70-80 on a random bottle and not liking it)
