This one is interesting. Doesn’t taste like 125 proof and has a beam peanut profile.

So Heaven Hill products can have that peanut profile. Some batches of the BPs have it some don’t,

2PD Speaking of Beam and this batch does not have the typical Beam nuttiness.

That’s an aggressive pour

I was in a store trying some samples today and the sales guy gave me a few pours like that. I was like frick I’ve got to drive home.

Maybe 6 months ago when it came out. This is the first run of this private barrel pick bottle I believe.

Monitoring local FB bourbon groups help with intel.

Double oak single pick is fantastic but the regular double oak is right there hanging with it. 115 proof

Sagamore 6yr Rye SiB 110 proof

Sagamore is dropping a new version of their cask strength rye that is 7 year age stated of their own distillate, blend of their low and high rye mashbills at 123 proof. Sounds fantastic to me.

I wish they leaned more into their low rye rye mashbills, one of my favorite bottles of rye last year was a 6 year single barrel low rye rye mashbill from them at 129 proof.
