For the money it is a very good value. I can’t say that the HH taste $40 better. However you can tell it is more nuanced than the GR. However for an off the shelf BP High Rye Bourbon not named Rare Breed it is very good for $59.

Last night in Frankfort. Taking it easy outside the room with a Warfighter and some Blantons from the room

What an amazing 6 nights here at the St Clair. Plenty of bourbon. Fantastic bar downstairs. Several distilleries.
Met Freddie at Buffalo Trace and had him sign my Freddie’s root beer bottle that I was drinking.
Hung out drinking beer with Billy Bob Thornton after his show in the hotel’s tavern back room speakeasy. Small private party that was cool and really fun.

Winding down for the drive back tomorrow

Heading to Louisville Monday morning. My wife has a whole week planned at several different distilleries on the bourbon trail. Getting excited.
