Good evening gentlemen. I was digging through the cabinet and found this sitting in the back. Forgot I had it. So this is a fresh crack over two years in the making.

This one is Epic's fault. The price was right (well below retail).

From the first whiff, it's obviously willett. I think the nose is a good bit better than this year's wines unlimited willett release. It drinks above its proof. I'll have to run it in a blind with the other willett ryes I've got, but I think it'll compare favorably.
It's easy to recommend if you are a Willett fan and especially if you haven't been able to find a WFE. The retail price is the obvious downside.

Is it still on sale? Or did you hit one of those flash sales? I once landed a Four Gate toasted rye for half price in one of those.
I have a few things to share soon.

This was actually via secondary. The guy must have acquired via one of the sales you referenced or maybe in one of those case deals because it was almost half off. 125 all in! It's good enough to consider at retail or with a more modest discount though.
Based on what I read (and confirming what you said), they got over 250 barrels from Willett and released less than 30 this year. The owner referenced a twenty year project. So they are only going to climb in age and price (unless he brings in stuff from other brands).
Thanks again for putting it on the radar. I'm a huge willett fan so another supply route is always appreciated.
