Heavy breathing for that Bunna 25. I'd love to try that one. How is it?

So I get a ton of coffee/cocoa notes on the nose and palate, some oranges and citrus notes come in after some time in the glass. Not heavily peated, just some brine on the finish which is a little short for the age. Has dried fruits, salt and like a medicinal hit like eucalyptus cough drops on the finish.

Good evening gentlemen. Curious as to what everyone's favorite non whiskey pour is? I'm impressed by this sample.

Evening baws, FPD is a sample of Bulleit 12 year rye. Tons of flavor packed in this 92 proofer, citrus, sweet, mint, bright for a 12 year pour, all around solid for a $55 bottle.

four square is up there.
I only brought one bottle but hitting a few places tomorrow. TW has 13th colony so that will be one bottle.

I know this is probably lame, but I’m not a huge fan of any other spirits neat. I’ll drink them in cocktails, but I’m not fond of just sipping rum, tequila, etc…
I’m sure it’s an acquired taste and I could develop it, but if I’m not drinking whiskey, I prefer to drink wine over other spirits.

2PD, a local spot still has a bunch of these on the shelf so I snagged another one.
Bardstown Bourbon Co has the best bottle shape, IMO. I remove the sticker and keep them for decanters, I just wish they kept the old heavy toppers

I'm a big fan of that Disco 11.
Re: other spirits, I have always felt that way too with neat pours. I like gin, but in a good martini. Something about tequila's profile has always been off putting to me, even the better stuff. The biggest issue I've had with rum is the sweetness, but this four square has better balance and more complexity than anything else I've had in the category (admittedly a small range).
Whiskey finishes (especially in the last four or five years) have made me more interested in trying other things. The Bardstown Collab is what made me seek out a Four Square sample. I'm going to grab a bottle for the home bar, but don't see myself really diving into new categories outside of whiskey. I do like having a couple of bottles of other spirits for classic cocktails (and guests) though.

Talking about it left me little choice for the next pour

I do always keep vodka, gin, rum, tequila, and a bottle of standard Makers for guests and the occasional cocktail (mostly traditional margaritas and daiquiris).
