Well, it is a fresh crack but up front what you would expect from a corn whisky vs a bourbon, Nose sweet, confectionary maybe a little funk (ester) note not quite as strong as a rum. Mouth starts sweet, and light with some of,that HH signature nutty note, then transitions into some heat and spicy oak, not expected, definitely denser than I thought it would be. Finish long gingery, not a huge KY hug going down but it just sits on your tongue after the swallow with a nice spicy note. I expect these notes will change as air gets into a 20 year old whisky.

ETA Add Ohio to that list I picked one up about a month ago.
