I bought the red on a whim shortly after release. No regrets. I'm just curious if there's enough of a difference to justify another purchase.

I just restocked this one.

Good luck with the snobs on this board

There are 5-6 regular posters that only indulge in top shelf stuff. Don't trouble yourself with posting, just read their post and enjoy...and then appreciate your simple taste in life and bourbon.

Um, he asked about William Larue Weller, that shite is above top, shelf. Most of the bottles posted are not that hard to find. shite, the JD SB BP Rye is a regular release and it is probably the best new product released in 2023. There are hardly any downvotes regardless of what is posted. I am gonna upvote any post from EW White label to Pappy 15. I’m only downvoting Vodka post.

How's the Nashville Barrel stuff? I'm visiting family in TN next week and plan to grab something I can't get local.

This one is very good, the first bourbon I have tried from them. Their ryes are pretty good MGP 95/5 sourced. So if you like that recipe, some don’t. This bourbon is sourced from Kentucky and has a bunch of Heaven Hill character. They don’t disclose where is sourced though. I have seen some stuff online that it may be Beam, either way I get a bunch of oak. cinnamon, and a smoky tobacco on the finish. It’s a savory spicy sip not huge on sweetness.

Perfect. Thanks for the flavor profile. I think I'll snag a bottle or two.

Has anyone ordered from Wooden Cork? I am trying to find Blanton's Gold at a price that won't make me vomit too much in my mouth.

It's been a fantastic resource for me. I don't post as much as I pour, but I certainly check out what the rest of you share.

I have definitely found some great bottles (and accessories) as a result of these threads. What was everyone drinking (if into whiskey) back then? 4R sib and templeton rye were two of my favorites. I always had gentlemen jack or the single barrel on hand as well.
