Lol there will always be drinking!! Give us a month and we will put together an outing. What are your favorite bourbon bars in town? I'm partial to Lock and Key personally but really like Olive or Twists selection as well.

I've read some good reviews of The Cove, but haven't been there. It's just down the street from Lock and Key.

JCANS, it was the only bottle of ETL they had left.

Ok guys I can say with full certainty that the Piggly Wiggly on Choctaw does not have any good bourbons, nor do they have any liquor at all. We were over off of south Acadian today and figured we should just go check it out. Fiance almost killed me after I dragged her that far north in BR but oh well. Back to the hunt.

FPD - EC 12, a red solo cup, and a fire pit. It's a good night... except for the part where my 3 year old daughter got marshmallow in her hair. Well at least I thought it was funny.

It is very good. I think the EHT lineup is one of my top picks. All great. Some easily obtainable.

I do like the Cove too. Solid bar with a great whiskey selection. I don't think to go there often though, perhaps I should go scout it out this week.

Right now we are just trying to see who would be interested in meeting up for tastings and drinking events.
I'm in.

If anyone is in need of a Lost Prophet and/or Forged Oak let me know. I have an extra one of each for you at cost.

Over the weekend I picked up a bottle of Thirteenth Colony Southern Bourbon, distilled in Americus, GA. Not sure if you guys have it in Louisiana, but if you come across a bottle, grab one. Really good stuff and it retails for about $35 for a 750.

Does anybody drink this? Worth a buy or should you just go straight to Bookers?
Have never seen it on here.

I like Bakers, actually had some last week while I was eating dinner out. It's a solid 7 year old bourbon. I know a lot of people ignore it compared to the other Beam small batch but i wouldn't. It's definitely sweeter than Bookers and without the extra strength proof, it's very easy to drink neat. I really like it and I think it's a solid bourbon if you are into the Beam small batch. Also I just read online that the yeast strain for bakers has been cultivated for 60 years now, which is pretty cool if you think about it.
