I definitely concur about the 2 year. It's not a bad rye with an ice cube. Great idea!

PePe, give us a report of what you find.

It might give me motivation to risk life an limb and hit up the BR Pigs.

Hey everyone we put up our first review of Jefferson's Reserve and the Reserve Groth Cask on BourbonBR today. Go check it out if you don't mind. Started the Bourbon Society of Baton Rouge to get likeminded fans of bourbon together to try new and awesome bourbon.

We haven't had any official meetings yet. We just decided to start the society a few weeks ago. For now we are posting reviews on Facebook and our website when it is finished being built. Trying to find an audience for members for now, but once we have a following we will get together at one of the fine establishments in town. Does that make sense? Right now we are just trying to see who would be interested in meeting up for tastings and drinking events.

We are having a small tasting on the 30th but thats more of a test run with some of our friends and to work on kinks in our system. I really hope by end of June we have a large enough following of enthusiasts where we can get together at Lock and Key or one of the other bars in town and enjoy some delicious bourbon.

BourbonSociety, my dad started a bourbon group in Lafayette maybe 2-3 years ago. And the success has been impressive. We've done tastings everywhere from cigar shops in town to loquor stores and have a consistent turnout. Good luck
