That Stagg Jr. can be rough...they don't call it "rocket fuel" for nothing...it def needs a cut of ice/water though to open it up.

I tell ya what, everyone seems to use it for mixing with the 12 but the Weller antique is pretty damn good on its own and I might just prefer it over the 12. I'v had the antique more recently so I guess I would need to try them at same time to tell for sure

Good argument...both stand alone well. In a blind side by side, I preferred the 12, even though it's not very blind since you can tell the difference pretty easily.

But one, the other, and the blend are all great pours...

And both are priced well...the bang for the buck may be unsurpassed. ..especially factoring in how great blending them is

I picked up a bottle of the small batch today (it was on sale for $21.99). Not bad, not bad at all.

I am in DC for the weekend to cook crawfish for another TD member's benefit boil. I had 4 old fashions at different nice places yesterday and quality was all over the place, from really good and made right to so bad, I left it on the counter. I am going to try again today...

Really good stuff or the buck.. Not as good as W12 IMO but still great for under $30.

I rank them as follows:

50/50 blend
W12
OWA107

Because Louisiana has NO allocation for it at this time from what I gather. We get the 12 in spurts...we will not get 107 (as of now). I did some calling around on that issue and thats what I gather. Mississippi get some...idk if they get the 12.

All downhill now to 1k
