Look online for distributors in your area and trying calling. I stumbled upon the one that my local place gets there pappy from. The nice lady on the phone was kind enough to give me dates they were getting it. I called on that day and they did get it and were working on the allocations for the local places. I tried to sweet talk her into letting me just bypass the stores but that was not successful.

Just a spectacular thread.

Picked up some Jefferson's Reserve, Elmer T Lee, Blanton's, and lastly another Buffalo Trace.

BT is my daily, Elmer as a little step up, then Blantons. I've not tried the Jeffersons Reserve, so I hope that's a good one.

Jeffersons Reserve is a little different than the rest, but a fine bourbon in my opinion. One of my favorites in that price range

Eta: how do you like ice balls compared to regular cubes?

I find it really just cools the bourbon off and adds a little water as it melts. Extra hot proofs in the 130s I like to add two additional ice cubes.

Elmer just cover the ice ball in bourbon and go to town.

Just got an email that I was selected in a lottery to purchase a bottle of van winkle 12 yr. allocations are so small that you have to enter a drawing for these bottles. Today already seems much better then yesterday

sorry for all the posts but I also found ABRAHAM BOWMAN LIMITED EDITION WHISKEY.
Anyone had the limited edition version? I see it is aged much shorter then most bourbons. If anyone has feedback please post.
